- The Korean war was fought, Communism VS. Democracy
- On July 15, 1950, Troops passed over the 38th Parallel, invading the South.
- The United States supported South Korea with weapons.
- The Soviet Union supported North Korea with weapons, as long as they spread communism.
- The South Koreans and United Nations began to think the North Koreans were unbeatable
- Winter conditions played a big part in the downfall of the United Nations
- The United Nations proposed to spread the war into China and use atomic bombs, but Trueman said no.
- By June of 1953, both sides stopped fighting at the 38th Parallel. both sides had greed to a truths
- It was two more years though, before all fighting stopped in Korea
- 1953 was the year that all soldiers remember by the day they are able to return back home.
